About Promised Land Co – Australian Christian Tshirts for Women
Hello and welcome! I’m Jade and I am the owner, designer and everything else at Promised Land Co. I live in beautiful Brisbane, Australia with my husband and 2 kiddos.
I’m a pastor’s wife, a women’s ministry leader, youth leader, kids church leader, coffee ministry leader, admin guru and coffee lover just to name a few.
I love Jesus and my life’s purpose is to share His love with the world. This business is just one small way of doing that.
I’m 100% an entrepreneur, Jill of all trades and if I don’t know how to do something, I will find a way to learn. I have had thousands of business ideas over the years and this is technically my 3rd business (years ago I sold some vintage clothing on Ebay, and ran a successful cake decorating business).
This business was born when I couldn’t find any Christian T-shirts in Australia that were my style. Overseas designs were ok, but I couldn’t justify the shipping cost to get them over here. I didn’t want something that was “in ya face” I wanted something subtle, I didn’t want to bible bash everyone who read the words on my shirt. So with my background in Graphic Design, I decided to make my own designs to fit the brief.
Our shirts are ethically made, meaning that workers are paid a fair wage, they are not children, and they work fair hours every week. I don’t believe I can sell you a shirt that preaches that love of Jesus, while knowing that I am supporting manufacturing that oppresses His beautiful children.
We donate 10% of our profits to World Hope International, helping fund other female entrepreneurs in developing countries. This allows them to safely support their family through small business ventures, just like this one.
We source our tshirts from an Australian apparel company, and our shirts are printed by an Aussie printing company in Melbourne, VIC. So you know that you are supporting local in so many ways with your purchase from Promised Land Co.
If you see me writing the words “We” or “us” you should know that I’m referring to Me, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit who are working tirelessly to make this thang happen.
